Doesn't todays music sucks?

I wish R&B music was like it was in the 1970's like Marvin Gaye,Stevie Wonder,TeddyPendergr,Aretha Franklin,The O jays,Earth wind and fire,Patti Labelle.Curtis Mayfield,Al Green,Gladys Knight,Smokey Robinson.I am young and I think that R&B singers today no I refuse to even call them R&B cause they aren't they are more hip hop like and they are a disgrace to all those legends.Do we blame hip hop?Some say hip hop helped black kids get off the streets and out but even if hip hop didn't exist I'm sure maybe R&B would have started talking about things that weren't love in a singing form since Marvin Gaye"whats going on" isn't about love its has to do with Vietnam at the time.Even on tv they were disgussing this issue about how todays R&B is not good.Maybe there is some good music today but all I've seen on BET is "crappy rap I mean if it was meaningful maybeI would like it but seriously nobody wants to hear Soulja Boy!
