What is the cost of titanium alloy per gram? Would it be useful for coin plating?

You'd have to do the tedious process of converting it to titanium tetrachloride first. Plating is usually done in some sort of non aqueous solution with a chemical method. It is also possible to electroplate but I don't think that anyone actually does. It looks a bit complicated involving an oxygen free atmosphere.
