What should i do???

i was talking to my ex and i started crying bec ause i know and he knows that we still love each other the only thing is that he goes to a completely diffrent school. he told me he wanted to work things out but i dont see it hapopening what should i do i really love this kid should i try to work it out or just be fiends wit him?
