Why do people like weird art works?

well, not to be offensive either, but why do people like nice paintings? to me they're boring, like I've seen it before. if you create, you better do something special. even weird will do. I like to see that the work is done by an individual with a unique vision. I may not like what it looks like but I definitely appreciate the effort. if I can see what it's supposed to represent there's no challenge. I prefer to be curious about what I see. so I like abstract work of art, what you call squares and circles. to me, it's not taking things (the way they look) for granted but push things a little further, see in what you see what it could be(come).
