A good parrot for me- lineolated parakeet or pionus?

You have picked 2 good birds, but your best plan is going to the bird show. I've had parrots and bred for many years and I have to tell you that after all this time, my favorite pet is a ringneck dove. They've been raised as pets for over 2000 years and it was an accident that I got into them. My little guy is so entertaining and so bonded and so much fun. But then, I also have a 27 year-old African Grey so I have the best of both worlds in my house. If anything happens to my AG, will not replace her. The dove would be replaced though. I'm getting too old to have another parrot as a pet. Just keep an open mind about it. You'll get good info at the bird show.
