Proper breathing techniques in relation to exercise?

I was taught one should breath in through the nose, expanding the stomach and then exhale through the mouth while contracting the stomach in towards the spine. My question is, should one do this while running or during other strenuous exercise? I've been trying it, and it seems to work just fine (possibly even helping a bit with oxygen flow), but also strains my stomach. I image that may simply be because my stomach muscles aren't used to expanding and contracting consciously and almost counter-intuitively, but I worry it might be the result of improper breathing technique. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks!

I have pneumonia & bronchitis and this morning I woke up with terrible sharp pains in the left side of my back?

It hurts when I move and when I breathe so I have to take tiny breaths. Now the military told me not to come back unless I had shortness of breath or if my symptoms got worse. Does this count as shortness of breath because I am forced to take in such little air due to the pain? I don't know. I just am wondering if anybody knows what in the world this could be!! I am trying not to freak out but I don't know if it's my lungs or muscles or what!! It hurts really bad though, on a scale of 1-10 this would be about a 8.5 (but only when breathing deeply, coughing (which i can't help), or moving around...) Any thoughts? Please help!!

Dude thats not a driver issue so i personally think you should go ahead and replace it. Only other thing that it might might be doing is the card is overheating because the fan in it stopped working or is overclocked to much or something. If you let it cool down will the card work again for atleast a couple of second if so that would mean its getting to hot. If that is the case thats another question you would have to figure out why it is getting so hot.

When I was a child I saw a very special movie on swedish television one night. I loved the movie and have been wondering since then what it was called. I have been noticing this lately. Maybe i just did not know then or something. I have 2 co-workers at work who may/may not be paying taxes. I really don't know. But from my guess, i think they are illegal residents. I always pay taxes yearly and i guess they dont. Out of my curiousity, i asked them where they come from and stuff. They told me that they cam running from the border and they told me that they dont even have an ID. They told me that all their babies were born free of charge (are you kidding me?? i have insurance and i will still have to pay about $3000 when i have a baby!!). Even though i am making more than them because i am a waitress, but i think this is not fair because they are illegals and they get those benefits. Why don't i? Why not my friends who had babies? A few of my girlfriends had babies and they did not even get any coupons! and they paid a lot of money ($3000 and up) to deliver their babies. who what happen here? we are the ones who paid taxes and who are supposed to enjoy those benefits not them. i feel that this is unfair. how in the hell they get free child delivery and hospitalization after child birth?? plus the food stamps? plus the coupons?? are those out tax money? the government should really check their papers before they are granted the benefits. its not fair. well, not to be offensive either, but why do people like nice paintings? to me they're boring, like I've seen it before. if you create, you better do something special. even weird will do. I like to see that the work is done by an individual with a unique vision. I may not like what it looks like but I definitely appreciate the effort. if I can see what it's supposed to represent there's no challenge. Walk away. That's what your gut is telling you, and from the sounds of things it's right. He is clearly not over his ex (or exex, or exexex, or whoever), and there will be FAR more problems for you in this relationship than it's worth. Gestational Diabetes?

i will be eight months pregnant this friday and everything is going perfectly fine, except for my gestational diabetes. i can't keep it controlled to save my life, and it's not like i'm not trying. i went for my first visit with the diabetes dietician, which was just a meeting to explain gestional diabetes, precautionary measures, etc. i go for my second meeting with the actual nutritionist monday to determine whether or not diet alone is controlling it, or if i need to be put on insulin, which obviously i will have to be. i've been following the sheet that the dietician gave with the the food "do's and don'ts" and i also cut out all sweets and drink only water, with that being said, my blood sugar levels remain high. i have to check my sugar four times a day...in the morning before i eat anything, and then after every meal. i eat my snacks in between meals as well, as i am supposed to. my sugar seems to be fine when i test it first thing in the morning, it's supposed to be between 60-95, and mine normally runs 70-100. but, for some reason after that, it goes up and stays up. if i check it one hour after i eat, it's supposed <140 and if i wait two hours, it's supposed to be <120, well after two hours mine stays between 135-150. Saturday, it even went as high as 215, and it steadily went down after it spiked. beings that it was so high, i called the dr on call and was told that they would call me back shortly. well, that was a 4:30pm on Saturday...and at 10:30am Monday morning, they have yet to call me back...i thought this was a serious matter, but obviously i was wrong. i know i won't know exactly what to do as far as controlling it until i go and see the nutritionist, but i was just curious as to if anybody else had had this problem and could give me a little advice/peace of mind until i go. thanks so much!

Prosecuting cases with cirstantial evidence?

I know many case are just cirstantial evidence, but still I do not see how a case can be prosecuted like this. I still do not see how Scott Peterson was found guilty with the evidence. The media won this case, not the prosecution. I just do not see how a theory is good enough for a conviction when there is no supporting evidence. For instance, you have a burglary, you find prints inside of the location, they are matched to a stranger that had no permission to be inside of the house. You search his house, find nothing, you have no witness, no confession, no stolen goods are ever found. Now how can a conviction for burglary be obtained? The prints prove that the person was inside the residents at one time, maybe during the crime maybe before maybe after. All the DA would have is a theory, nothing else. Hell the defense would have a theory too. Now are cases now solved by theories and not facts? Even though that person had no permission to be inside, there is still no proof that he/she stole anything or actually committed the crime, or even was there during the crime. Once again how is cirstantial evidence good evidence? One last example, you find fingerprints on the murder weapon and later match it to a person. Now there is a good possibility that he may be the actor, but with no other evidence there is nothing but a theory of cirstances. Even if the suspect and the victim had a beef the prints still do not prove that the person killed the victim. Sure, anyone with a good imagination good develop a great story and present that to a jury. Once again, how can this happen without supporting evidence?

Anytime I hear about a pill or anything that promises the possibility of no periods I turn my head the other way. I have heard of many women getting sick from not having periods. I know they say there is no medical need for a period but to me it seems not right. Think about how much lining builds up and then it doesn't go anywhere it just keeps building. I can't see how that could be good for you. I don't know anyone who has tried it but I wouldn't consider it. The regular old pill seems to be the best thing. If you ever have to use the regular pill again try setting an alarm on your phone to take it at a time you know you could do everyday. Like 9PM at night or something.

The thing is, as we age our near point recedes and comes to a point in our 40's where we require spectacles to read near objects. Even in my late twenties i've observed my own near point recede to a recognizable distance different from my youthful vision. You said initially that you have some slight power but nothing that warranted wearing spectacles, perhaps your not wearing gles has exacerbated the pain and strain your currently feeling. In addition to the aging factor you haven't been getting enough rest, so it could be multifactorial. I want to be much more muscular than my present state . Bigger and more impressive as well as possesing explosive and maximal strength and being able to go 3 intense five minute rounds with 1 minute breaks UFC style. Or basically just have anaerobic endurance and explosiveness while being impressively muscled and cut. How can I do this. Issues with a Vizio TV?

I have someone using one of my TV's down the shore and the power doesn't seem to be going on through the TV. They have the cord plugged into an outlet, and other electronics function with that socket. The light that is usually illuminated through the "Vizio" sign is not lit at all. It worked four days ago before we left, so I can't think of why it stopped. My only guess would be that one of the cables cames unplugged, but the TV is mounted so it's really hard to check that. I can't physically do anything with the TV, I have to guide the people through this by phone, or else I could probably fix it myself. But if anyone has any ideas as to why this might be occurring I would appreciate if you could let me know. Thanks.

I have had my dog Sadie for a while now and she has this odd habit of eating that I have never seen a dog do before. for some reason, I suddenly became very curious about horror movies a few months ago (which i am very scared of) and could not resist my curiosity and watched many of them. (some really gory ones) Those horrible images stayed in my mind for sometime and I has flashbacks frequently. To say the least, i was traumatized. But now I kind of recovered and I no longer wake up or go to bed with horrible images flashing in my head and I am not curious about that stuff anymore. I know that everyone is saddened by Michael Jackson's death but no one was closer to him than me although I didn't know him personally. I was born on Aug 29, 1994 the same day as Michael.
